Another week, another set of outfits, and a whole heap of inspiration from HerCanberra readers.
To be honest with you, I don’t think I wore anything of sufficient interest to warrant a whole post, so instead I wanted to share a few snaps of Friday’s two outfits: corporate and out-to-dinner and then show you some of the gorgeous looks from Instagram.
So, some context. I was in Sydney on Friday for work – it was a launch event so was pretty intense…I arrived back home with not a lot of time to glam up for a belated Valentine’s Day dinner with my lovely husband. No time to shower – just do the whole Superman phone booth transformation from day to night.
So, Friday was a two outfit day…the first my corporate clobber (shown against this lovely lime green hotel wall): Country Road Boxy Silk Jacket ($249) and Fine Rib Tank ($29.95) and a black pencil skirt a couple of seasons old. This CR Suit Skirt ($179) is pretty close. I wore my favourite black patent pumps with the outfit (I’ve had them for three years now and they’ve served me well, although starting to show signs of wear)…these Candice Nubuck Pumps ($179) are a newer version.
Once home in The Can, it was quick change time.
The singlet and shoes stayed on, and I slipped on a gorgeous Witchery Beaded Tank ($129.95) that I couldn’t resist buying at the airport. Even thought the ‘nude’ shade is not really that flattering for my colouring, I can never go past a bit of beading…plus, the loose flowy fit is good for those times when you’re planning on eating A LOT. Which I did.
I teamed it with these Country Road 5 Pocket Jeggings ($99) which have a bit of a metallic sheen and edgy appeal…it’s a nice contrast to the ‘prettiness’ of the tank.
A quick dunk of the hair in the basin and a finger scrunch, a touch up of the makeup, and a spritz of perfume and I was good to go. This is what I wore.
